Mignolates

Mignolates are pastry filled with foccacia/pizza ingredients. Nonna Schiavone's Mignolates started with my grandmother’s traditional recipes of meatball and spinach mignolates.

 

Imagine fresh baked Italian bread jelly-rolled with fresh, savory ingredients. Included in this mixture is a generous portion of a 3 cheese blend of Parmesan, Provolone and Mozzarella cheeses. Hand rolled into a ball shaped muffin, then baked to perfection with some love and a few sesame seeds on top.

 

There you have it! New flavors include: Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Artichoke Pesto, and Buffalo Chicken. The meatball and spinach are the "originals" brought from Sicily in 1916 by my grandmother Caterina Neri Schiavone.

Serving

Mignolates are delivered fully cooked and simply need to be reheated until the cheeses are melted. To heat frozen or refrigerated mignolates, please ask for instructions based on your heating method.

 

Mignolates can be easily enjoyed as a finger food making them a great option for catering events or pubs.

 

Got sauce? Mignolates are perfect without sauces but we suggest a marinara or pesto if you want to lose your mind.
